New version upgrade-
When I am ready to implement it, I will let you all know in advance. Hopefully, it will fix a few things (like being able to install language packs, "seeing" all the posts that don't display anymore from the mysql+php version incompatibility issue we suffered awhile back). While this is in process, I'll have to re-skin the board, as well as re-add the mods already installed to this version (only a couple done, while I waited for this version)

Coppermine Photo/Image Gallery
I already have it installed and running, using the forum user database. Left on my "to do" list before we can all use it:
  • Upgrade the forum itself
  • skin the gallery to match the forum
  • hack into the forum header to provide a menu link to the gallery
Hopefully, this will all be done within the week.

I expect to be installing the upgrade later this evening. Should you see a "forum unavailable" message, it will be because I've turned the board off, and am in the process of the upgrade.

The worst of it is done biggrin.gif

What's left:
installing language packs
re-adding mods (they are deleted during upgrades)
hacking into header to link to gallery

Oh, by the way....
Guess what actually works RIGHT now???? SEARCHING!!

We now have a gallery for screenshots! (and other stuff). As we need more categories, suggest them pls, I'll create them for pictures to be uploaded.

Hey, congratulations SeaWitch! And I hear told that the experts say "it couldn't be done." whistling.gif Hopefully I can get myself into the habit of reaching for the 'print screen' button more often. wink.gif

Salute!

Actually, the tools were already in the install, more or less. The database integration, the hardest part, came with the gallery software. From there, it was a matter of making it work smoothly with the Invisionboard.

Is it possible to change the restrictions for pictures to upload? Right now it is limited to 800x800, but screenshots 1024x768. Or do we just need to resize the pictures?

Thank you for the upgrades!!! biggrin.gif

I could increase the size, but I prefer that the images be resized instead. Helps for storage. smile.gif
